The Lazarus Mission Inc.
Community Resource Center

The Lazarus Mission Inc., in partnership with the local government of Holeta, is constructing a new community resource center. Strategically situated in the heart of the city, it will serve as the permanent home for our mission and be a convenient, central resource for the benefit of the entire community.

Our goal is to create a self-sustaining, revenue-generating hub that provides families with;

  • New employment opportunities

  • Retail space for their small businesses

  • Safe recreational space for their children

  • Classrooms and a library that offers access to computers, vocational skills development, and lifelong learning

  • A Cafe as a welcoming space for dining and purchasing food and snacks.

  • A multi-purpose room that will be available to host community or private events at reasonable rental fees

About Holeta

Holeta is located in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia, about 40 kilometers west of Addis Ababa. The town is subdivided into eight kebeles (wards/ neighborhoods), each governed by its council of elected leaders who oversee education, health, safety, and other infrastructure. Five of the kebeles are farming communities, with most families dependent on subsistence agriculture for their livelihoods.
